Ocean State Hunt Club Show Series

The Ocean State Hunt Club Show Series offers USEF, NEHC and RIHA rated horse shows throughout the year, held at Greene Field Farm. In addition to hunter, jumper, equitation, pleasure, Quarter Horse and Arabian classes, medal qualifiers for NEHC, RIHA, MHJ, Marshall & Sterling, SEHA and others are also offered.

Year End Awards Program

Continuing in the 2009 season, OSHC will award annual Championship Perpetual Trophies plus Reserve Champion, Third and Fourth Awards in each of the following divisions:

• Long Stirrup Equitation
• Short Stirrup
• Pleasure Horse
• Adult Hunter
• Children’s Hunter
• Jumper
• High Point Equitation Junior Rider (Medal Classes will not count for points)
• High Point Equitation Adult Rider (Medal Classes count for points)
• High Point Horse/Rider Combination (All classes to count for points)
• High Point Trainer (All year-end award applications listing a trainer will count for points in all classes entered)

     

To acquire points for the year end awards, the following rules apply:

1. The Rider for Equitation, a Horse/Rider combination, and the horse or pony for Hunters and Jumpers must compete in at least 4 of our scheduled shows.
2. For Equitation and horse/rider combination awards, the rider must be a member of OSHC.
3. For Hunter/Jumper awards, the owner of the horse or pony must be a member of OSHC.
4. For points to count, a completed Registration Form and a fee of $15.00 must be received by OSHC prior to the start of the first class to be counted.
5. Points will start with the first show of the season (Feb. 8, 2009). Awards will be presented at the final show of the season (November 22nd).
6. Points will be awarded as follows: 1st-7, 2nd-5, 3rd-4, 4th-3, 5th-2, 6th-1
